Made with Xara © Center for Social Work Doboj 2011 Child allowance Child allowance is exercised in accordance with the conditions laid down in the Child Protection Law and the Rulebook on the realization of the right of child protection. The request for the realization of the right is submitted to the Center for Social Work at the residence of the applicant on the prescribed form. Regardless of the material conditions  the right to child allowance can be realized also for children for  which the  authority has issued an act on the classification for disability in development, children of fallen soldiers, civilian war victims and war veterans and other disabled I and II categories , children without parental care and children whose families have a right to financial assistance under the social Protection. The right to child allowance is recognized for the period from 1. October of the current year to 30 September next year, a renewal of the documentation for the extension of rights to child allowance can be made from 1. August to 30 September of current year. Users who apply for the extension of rights after 1. October or are applying for the first time, the right is recognized in following month from applying. All children with developmental disabilities, and are not placed in an institution of social protection are entitled to child allowance in an enlarged amount. The right is realized on the basis of opinion on the assessment of capacity (categorization) and enjoy it until 19 years of age or if they continue schooling until graduation.
